STRUCTURE
A - PHD

Masters
in the relevant domain, or
-
Masters
in a related domain with 2 years experience in the domain
(including at least 2 publications in the domain, or
-
Bachelors
in the domain with 1st class with honours or CGPA 3.67* and
above. For this qualification, candidates must register for
Master Programme (Structure A), and apply for conversion to PhD in
not earlier than six months and within one year of registration
but subject to assessments and approval by Senate. For detail of
conversion scheme, refer to COGS Academic Regulation.
STRUCTURE
A & B - MASTERS

Bachelors
in the relevant domain with 2nd class upper with honours or CGPA
2.75* and above, or
-
Bachelors
in the relevant domain with 2nd class lower with honours or CGPA
2.50*-2.74*, and 1 year experience in the domain and at least 1
publication the domain, or 2 years professional experience in the
domain
-
Bachelors
in the relevant domain with CGPA below 2.50, and 5 years
experience in the domain
-
Bachelors
in a related domain with 2nd class upper with honours or CGPA
2.75* and above, and 1 year experience in the domain (including at
least 1 publication in the domain)
STRUCTURE
C (BUSINESS PROGRAM) - MASTERS (as offered)

Bachelors
in the relevant or related domain with 2nd class lower with
honours or CGPA 2.50* and above

Applicants
with minimum 2 years experience are preferred
-
CGPA
below 2.50 with 5 years or professional experience
STRUCTURE
C (ENGINEERING PROGRAM) - MASTERS (as offered)

Bachelors
in the relevant domain with 2nd class-lower with honours or CGPA
2.50* and above, or
-
Bachelors
in the relevant domain with CGPA below 2.50 and 5 years experience
in the domain
-
Bachelors
in a related domain with 2nd class-lower with honours or CGPA
2.50* and above, and 1 year experience in the domain (including at
least 1 publication in the domain)
NOTE
*The
CGPA is out of 4.0
**Entry
requirements are correct at the time of printing and Senate UNITEN
may decide on eligibility of students as and when required
FOR
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
The
validity period for requirement should not be more than two (2)
years. TOEFL ITP is not an acceptable alternative
ENGLISH
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:
Local
and foreign students who hold degrees from institutions
with non-English medium will be required to have
proficiency in written and spoken English in one of the following:
You
must have proof of good proficiency in verbal and written English
through the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or
Test of English as a Foreign Language(TOEFL) or its equivalent
as follows:
-
with
score of 6.0 (IELTS) or 600 (TOEFL) or its equivalent for
computing or business studies
-
with
score of 5.0 (IELTS) or 500 (TOEFL) or its equivalent for
engineering studies
This
requirement is waived if you:-
-
are
a native of an English speaking country, or
-
have
obtained your Bachelor and other relevant degree from an
institution whereby all courses are fully conducted in
English; or have completed your studies in Malaysia subject to
clause (b) and intend to pursue a higher degree.
